The Department of Education and Learning of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland together with the Competence centre for Innovation and Research on Education Systems (CIRSE) held a conference dedicated to wellbeing in education systems. Participants from Canada, the USA, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, and Switzerland presented their ideas on positive psychology and emotional outcomes in their studies. Together with an US-American colleague, CRE/ATE member Alexander Koch held a presentation titled “Outside the box or in the norm? Differential aspects of student misbehavior and wellbeing as a potential multi-level outcome.” The presentation focused on the participation of students with diverging ideas and non-conform behavior in elementary school STEM education.
